Who Invented YouTube?

YouTube was invented by three men; Chad Hurley, Jawed Karim and Steve Chen. They started it at a garage located at Menlo Park. These inventors turned out to be millionaires when they sold this invention to Google for 1.65 billion dollars. It is believed that this invention began in the year 2005, designed to enable users upload, watch and share original videos across the web worldwide. The YouTube site is ‘www.YoutTube.com’ and it enables video embedding when downloading, allowing the videos to be places on pages that are non-YouTube.

About the creators, Steve Chen, born in 1978 in Taiwan, immigrated into the United States at the age of fifteen. He got his university education from the University of Illinois and was employed at PayPal after graduating, meeting the co-founders, Jawed Karim and Chad Hurley. Now, Steve works as the Chief Technology Officer at YouTube. Co-inventor Chad Hurley was born in the year 1977 has a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts received from the University of Pennsylvania and was later employed at PayPal division of eBay. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer. The third partner, Jawed Karim was also employed at PayPal and has an advanced degree from Stanford University. The invention of You-tube has enabled people to share, watch and download their favorite videos online.
